Dr Joe Enis
"Advanced Prostate Cancer
A Brighter Future:
Hormone Therapy, Diet and Supplements"
An Update
Joe Enis was formerly a Neurologist and head of stroke services for South-East Health. At the age of 55 he retired with widespread metastatic prostate cancer and a PSA of 554. He was originally given less than 3 years to live. Yet 8 years later, his PSA is zero and there is no evidence of spread. Much of this success so far is due to the genius of Dr Charles “Snuffy” Myers.
Joe was the first patient from Australia to visit Dr Myers in the USA. Dr Myers, a Professor of Oncology, was Chief of the Clinical Pharmacology Branch of the National Cancer Institute in the States. He has written over 250 journal articles. Yet his biggest contribution to the management of this disease were made after he himself was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.
According to Dr Myers, changes to diet and lifestyle are important for all patients with prostate cancer at all stages of the disease. Supplements are important for most. Those with more advanced disease may require hormone therapy as well.
Joe spoke at the Support Group Meeting in 2009 with overwhelming success therefore this is a meeting not to be missed!Parking
